Brian DiMattesa


Brian graduated from Penn State in 2002 with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Economics. He is currently a manager for St Clair CPA Solutions of Merchantville, NJ, and Conshohocken, PA. He and his wife Becky ('03, Activities Director) live in South Jersey with their two children, Danielle and Luke.

Casey Coyle


Casey Coyle is an attorney at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC (“Eckert Seamans”) in the firm’s Philadelphia office. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, legal issues litigation, and appellate law. Prior to joining Eckert Seamans, Casey worked as an attorney for Rhoads & Sinon, LLP in the firm’s Harrisburg office. Before entering private practice, Casey served as a law clerk for then-Justice, now Chief Justice, Thomas G. Saylor of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Casey received his Juris Doctor from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 2009. During his time at Temple, Casey served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Temple Journal of Science, Technology & Environmental Law. He also worked as a graduate assistant for the Fox School of Business, as a research assistant for two law school professors, as an intern for two federal judges, and as an intern for the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Casey received a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism), with distinction, from the Pennsylvania State University in 2006. While at Penn State, Casey participated in both the Communications & Democracy Program in Washington, D.C., and the Communication Study Abroad Program in Manchester, England. He also served as a production intern for CNN’s Capital Gang.

Casey is an active member of the Penn State community. In addition to serving as the Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association (the “Philadelphia Chapter”), Casey serves as the Sponsorship Chair for The Liberty Ball: A Knight For The Kids, an annual fundraiser held by the Philadelphia Chapter to support the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. Casey formerly served as the Vice President of the Capital Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association (Harrisburg, PA).

Somrit Basak

Somrit (1)


Somrit was born and raised in Hollidaysburg, PA (an hour south of State College). Both of Somrit’s parents are professors at Penn State, which planted the seed for Penn State early on.

Somrit started working for Deloitte as an International Tax Consultant after graduating from Penn State in 2014 with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Psychology. During college, Somrit was involved as part of the executive board of the GLOBE and PSU Food for Thought as well as part of the assembly of the UPUA.

In his free time, Somrit enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants in Philadelphia.

Tyler Doppelheuer


Tyler Doppelheuer is jointly serving as Secretary and Communications Director.

Tyler comes to Philadelphia from his home in the Pittsburgh area. He attended Penn State, University Park, and graduated with a B.S. in Community, Environment, and Development with Distinction in 2012. During his time at Penn State, he served in several prominent roles on campus and within the University community.

After graduating, Tyler worked for Ryland (now CalAtlantic) Homes in several capacities ranging from sales and marketing to construction project management on varying levels. Currently, Tyler is a Project Management Analyst with BlackTree Healthcare Consulting working with the national clinical team.

Tyler resides in Philadelphia and is involved in various community groups, Penn State groups, and sports leagues. He is happy to be the Secretary and Communications Director and to share all of the great things about the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Cody Snyder



Cody Snyder is an attorney at Commonwealth Trust Company in Wilmington, Delaware. In this position, he oversees the administration of various trusts to ensure the Company’s fiduciary duties are properly discharged.

Cody received his JD, cum laude, from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 2012. While at Temple, Cody served as an Editor on the Temple Journal of Science, Technology & Environmental Law. He was also a Member of the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society and served as the Vice President of the Temple Business Law Society.

Cody graduated, with distinction, from Penn State in 2007. He received a BS degree in Psychology and minored in Business. While at Penn State, Cody was heavily involved in THON and served as a Captain for Relay for Life.

Cody has also served on the Planning Board for the Temple University Alumni Association, Philadelphia Chapter. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, Vanessa, and their dachshund, Timber. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and watching Penn State sports.

Becky DiMattesa


Becky attended the University Park campus and graduated in 2003, as a member of the Schreyer Honors College, with a BS in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Engineering Mechanics. During her time at Penn State, she was active in the Newman Catholic Student Association, intramural sports, Project Haiti, and the Women in Engineering Program.  She enjoys PSU football and still attends games regularly.

Becky grew up in Media, PA.  She works for The Boeing Company at its Ridley Park, PA, location, where she analyzes vibration and loads of helicopter systems.  In 2008, she earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.  She currently lives in South Jersey her husband, Brian ('02, Chapter President), and their two children, Danielle and Luke.

Christina Moresi


Christina was born and raised in Philadelphia within a Penn State family, since her dad, Godfather, and uncle are all alumni. She graduated from University Park in 2003 with a B.A. in Communications and minors in Animal Sciences and American Studies. During her time at Penn State she played club soccer for Abington, lived and worked at the Dairy Barns, volunteered with the Hockey Management Association, and was the Science and Nature Editor at Voices of Central Pennsylvania.

Christina continued her education at Chestnut Hill College, where she earned a Masters of Education and Early Childhood and Special Education certifications.

Currently, Christina is a Youth Education Program Manager and an Environmental Educator in Northwest Philadelphia. She actively serves her neighborhood and extended community through teaching and volunteering. She is also a part of the Hope Express Morale Team, a 135-mile run that was created to bridge the gap between the families on the 7th floor at the Hershey Medical Center and the Dancers at THON.

Christina believes that it takes a village to raise a child and to better a community. Through community service with the Philadelphia Chapter, Penn Staters can work together to serve, love and improve Philadelphia for the children and the future.

Susan Field


Susan Field is originally from the Poconos and graduated from Penn State in 2006 with a degree in Journalism. She attended Penn State Altoona for two years and was Editor of the Altoona Collegiate Review and an officer for the Catholic Campus Community. At University Park, Susan wrote for The Collegian, was a reporter for ComRadio, and participated as a writer and host for Final Cut, a television show broadcast in the dorms.
Following graduation, Susan was lucky enough to get to stay in State College for several more years while working as an Assistant Editor at Town&Gown Magazine, covering both State College and Penn State news. Susan was a writer and editor for the Penn State sports annuals, covering PSU ice hockey, gymnastics, and football.
Susan graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in English in 2011 and a Master’s of Education in Curriculum & Instruction in 2012. She worked in Maryland for two years as a secondary educator, teaching English, drama, film, journalism, and reading. In the fall of 2014, Susan moved to Philadelphia and began working as a Director of Recruitment & Selection for Northwestern Mutual. Her favorite part about her job is connecting with people and helping them find opportunities.
In her free time, Susan enjoys exploring the city, meeting new people, participating in her book club, and spending time outside. She has been a freelance writer for various publications for the last 15 years, in addition to authoring her own figure skating blog. Susan loves following Olympics sports, and of course, cheering for Penn State!

Maria Lobron


Maria Lobron graduated from Penn State, University Park in 2012 with a B.A. in international communications and a minor in French. As a student, she was involved with Valley magazine, Vole ballet club, THON, student government, concrete canoe club, and PSU TV. Her favorite Penn State memories are tailgating and going to football games. Her favorite creamery ice cream flavor is Death by Chocolate.

Currently, she works at channel WPHL 17 in Philadelphia. In her free time, she volunteers at the Academy of Natural Sciences. She is happy to promote the Philadelphia chapter to local alumni and spread her love of Penn State.
