The Philadelphia Chapter has a long history and a bright future!

It is the dedication and enthusiasm of active Penn Staters that has helped the Chapter have an impact in Philadelphia. Dating back to 1924, the Chapter has maintained a high level of commitment to carry out the mission of the Penn State Alumni Association:

  • Connecting alumni to the University and to each other

  • Providing valued services to members

  • Supporting the University’s mission of teaching, research, and service

But this year is extra special—for the first time ever, The Liberty Ball is happening on the same weekend as THON, and it’s celebrating its 20th anniversary! To honor 20 years of the Liberty Ball, a 2:1 matching gift—up to $20,000—has been pledged for donations made by February 22nd at midnight.
